from Arctic Café thread:
Need I say more??

1. He said "The pace of climate action is glacial!"
2. He saw/heard "CRAAAAAAACK!!"
3. He saw/heard "SPLOOOOSH!"
4. He realised and kept for himself "Although glaciers move faster than they used to..."

Ooops, it's not fox forum, sorry, sorry ...

Good catch!

Why
"The pace of climate action is glacial!"

is that meant to be 'The pace of climate change is glacial!'?

(or is he an environmentalist wanting faster action in which case thinking glaciers are now moving faster presumably just confirms his beliefs but then why 'realised and kept to himself' - I don't really see that as some parody of environmentalists but maybe I am just not getting it.)

My "good catch!" was the 'he says this' and 'thinks that'.

Thanks, crandles, for your comment.  I think maybe the guy was saying "Climate action is, sadly, moving at a glacial pace." and then realizes that glaciers are speeding up and climate action isn't speeding up, so he is speechless.

For a change I saw a funny climate risk denier joke somewhere:

Climate Change Deniers Present Graphic Description Of What Earth Must Look Like For Them To Believe
Quote
WASHINGTON—Evoking cataclysmic scenes of extreme weather and widespread drought and famine, the nation’s climate change deniers held a press conference Wednesday to describe exactly what the Earth must look like before they will begin to believe in human-induced global warming.

The group of skeptics, who said that the consensus among 97 percent of the scientific community and the documented environmental transformations already underway are simply not proof enough, laid out the precise sequence and magnitude of horrific events—including natural disasters, proliferation of infectious diseases, and resource wars—they would have to witness firsthand before they are swayed.

“For us to accept that the average surface temperature of the Earth has risen to critical levels due to mankind’s production of greenhouse gases, we’ll need to see some actual, visible evidence, including a global death toll of no less than 500 million people within a single calendar year,” said spokesperson William Davis, 46, of Jackson, NJ, who added that at least 70 percent of all islands on the planet would also have to become submerged under rising seas before he and his cohort would reconsider their beliefs.....

Here is a little bit of climate change humor from the 1890's

See also:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Scream

Extract: "This memory was later rendered by Munch as a poem, which he hand-painted onto the frame of the 1895 pastel version of the work:

I was walking along the road with two friends – the sun was setting – suddenly the sky turned blood red – I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence – there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city – my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety – and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

Among theories advanced to account for the reddish sky in the background is the artist's memory of the effects of the powerful volcanic eruption of Krakatoa, which deeply tinted sunset skies red in parts of the Western hemisphere for months during 1883 and 1884, about a decade before Munch painted The Scream."

First picture; it's the same here in Sweden, but we are smart enough to keep our coal business abroad (Germany). And we build and buy our stuff elsewhere, so that we don't pollute our wonderful little green nation. And we are soo aware of buying eco food and simply marvellous at waste separation.

Sorry, then two more. I like the last one, maybe not that funny, but current.

Yes, cartoonists error or artistic interpretation? It's not correctly spelled in Norwegian either. it should be allemannsrett. Jedermannsrecht oder öffentliches Zugangsrecht wurde besser. But I don't think all Swedes understand those two german words, so I suspect that the cartoonist selected "allemansrett" deliberately.
There have been some jokes floating around here regarding (german) tourists, our elks and our allemansrätt.

A more serious note, Vatttenfalls emissions abroad are 88,4 Million metric tonnes/year, Swedens polished numbers are about 50.
A new german report estimating the costs, Vattenfalls part is estimated to 40-50 billion SEK/year.
http://www.greenpeace.de/kosten-braunkohle
Now Vattenfall want to sell it, to whom? Are there buyers on another planet?

As the climate change problem is too complex for just cartoons, the following link has an entire peer-reviewed comic on the fragile framework leading to the Paris CoP21 climate treaty/pact/agreement (or whatever it is):
