Thanks for bringing this film to my attention, I thought it was effective and well done. Interesting that they portray a Sandy like situation in new york for 2070, actually happened only 3 years after broadcast of this film.

I found it rather poignant that at the end they were looking forward to the Copenhagen round of talks with optimism as a chance to turn, as one put it, a vicious circle into a virtuous one.

We know how that turned out... :(

I'm enough of an optimist to think that one day we will turn things around, but enough of a realist to know that each opportunity passed up makes the problems we face that little bit bigger and more difficult.

We will NOT turn things around, not even if we stood kneedeep in saltwater.. I am not a pessimist, more realistic about the future.

Besides, I have just read Archers book, the Long Thaw..
