Flade Isblink / North Greenland / North East Greenland
« on: July 20, 2014, 06:34:26 PM »
I just stumbled over this on one of my field trips:
If you cant find enough ice melting elsewhere, then watch this animation, it is from the very north of Greenland, here you find the Ice Cap / Glacier named Flade Isblink, the animation contains 2 images and they are exactly 8 years apart on the date, watch how the the whole area is melting this year compared to 2006:

Two discussion papers from ocean-sci-discuss earlier this year of the first CTD measurements in Wandel Hav. Nice data. Hydrography is interesting. Open access. Read all about it:

Hvidebugt began bursting out high velocity discharge heading into the freezing season of 2022. Attached are a couple of animations exploring the situation. It may be result of subglacial lake drainage.

A study of the area was released soon before the glacier went into overdrive:
"Filling and drainage of a subglacial lake beneath the Flade Isblink ice cap, northeast Greenland"

Climate change is exploited and exacerbated for unsustainable motor nuisance scooters and bikes to block street access across most cities. It only ever gets worse. Heavier than people. Wider than footpaths. Carelessly declared child toys in NZ. Terminable batteries explode toxic emissions on expiry.
