Including quite a few new rocky islands and almost-islands.

Yes it is more interesting and educating to study these glacier and their behavior over the last 30 years, than watching for instance Jakobshavn here and now.
The animation really shows how dramatic the changes are all along the North Western coast of Greenland.

A "little" west of Sverdrup Gletscher we find Nansen Gletscher and Nordenskiöld Gletscher, both glaciers seems to be in spring mode:

Nansen Gletscher - Another glacier in Melville Bay / Baffin Bay area that is worth reporting from.
As you you can see from the animation below this glacier is very active too, and it still looks pretty potent if you ask me?

Nansen Gletscher to Morell Gletscher Melville Bay in Baffin Bay North West Greenland.
Continuing retreat at most of the many glaciers in the northern part of Melville Bay, especially Nansen Gletscher is retreating and changing shape over the last 2 years (2015-2017).

Yearly update of Nansen Gletscher:

Another very potent glacier in the Melville Bay / Baffin Bay area, as you can see in the animation below the the calving activity is extreme and so the retreat.

A Nansen Gletscher: Heavy calving activity and retreat is seen in left part of the glacier, and very rough crevassing in the right part of the glacier.

B Nordenskiöld Gletscher: Moderate calving activity but retreat is clearly seen.

C Breaking News Glade Hval Ø Glade Hval Ø (Happy Whale Island) is the big history in this report, this new island is another island of many in this area of Greenland (Melville Bay)

L New melt lakes are formed on top of the ice sheet.

Another great glacier named after Fridtjof Nansen the Norwegian polar explorer is seen retreatning like all the other glaciers in this animation.

The great Nansen Gletscher in Melville Bay, like many other glaciers in this area like Kjer Gletscher etc. is retreating at a very high speed, and each month / year there is a new retreat record.

Nansen Gletscher and Nordenskiöld Gletscher: Over the last 7 (2015 - 2022) years Nansen Gletscher retreated and lost more ice than in the previous 30 years (1985 - 2015)?
Below in the animation you will find a green line indicating the glacier fronts in 1985 and a red zone showing the area lost between 2015 and 2022.
