DSMP-F20 Kickstarter

Okay, it has already been pointed out elsewhere that NASA has an F20 sitting around and that we need it put up there to replace the failed one. Musk could put it up for maybe a discounted price. Maybe Tom Steyer would start a Kickstarter campaign with an initial contribution of a million or so to get things going. I wonder if I went to the NextGen website if a message would get through...   ...anybody have any thoughts or am I just acting stupid?

Okay, I have really gone and done it now, I went and found Al Gore's contact info on his website and asked him also. (He's really gotten pretty wealthy since he's been out of office, or so they say.) So this may be a futile gesture on my part but it will at any rate be interesting (and maybe fun) to see if I get any responses.

Doesn't hurt to try.  If you get a price quote maybe you could start a kickstarter page for it.  Why not, right?

I had another idea. A few months ago Tim over at http://waitbutwhy.com/ (really good site) scored this awesome interview with Elon Musk. So I dropped Tim a note to see if he still had a way to send Musk a message, would he be so kind as to forward my question, etc. I may not hear back from anybody else but I'm betting Tim will drop me a line.
