SEARCH - Arctic Presentation

An Arctic Alerts Media Roundtable was held in Washington DC in the last two weeks. Walt Meier and Jennifer Francis among the presenters. The link to the talking point slides for all presenters is:

One sobering take away: Ted Schuur, Vulnerable Permafrost thaw could result in a CO2 gain estimate of 75 ppm by 2100.

Thanks for posting that, even if it is so very sobering. A 75 ppm CO2e gain from where we are now (400+ ppm CO2, and ~480 ppm CO2e ) would/will be devastating for everyone on the planet by itself, let alone what happens when we add our continued emissions to that. The question is how fast the weather (and agriculture, and geopolitics) destabilizes because of that. But that's a topic for another forum, probably.
