Access to NSIDC data changing
« on: December 11, 2016, 01:37:59 PM »
Just a heads up, currently all the NSIDC dataset web pages are displaying the following message:

"Access to data via FTP for this data set will no longer be available after January 31, 2017. The NASA NSIDC DAAC is transitioning to data distribution through HTTPS, which requires users to login with an Earthdata Login username and password. Data will continue to be available free of charge"

I noticed that a couple of days ago. I tried to register for Earthdata, but I still haven't received my confirmation email.

Have you had any more luck?

Thanks. I tried again using my gmail and that worked OK. Maybe my usual email address is on some sort of blacklist?!
