WarmRegards podcast: Engaging with climate change deniers

Can't find this mentioned anywhere else and since it doesn't fit into any of the other categories...

Episode from the Warm Regards podcast with Katharine Hayhoe. Some really useful advice on how to engage in discussions on climate, both face-to-face and online. Also what is striking is the level that this conversation is held at; intellectually, in emotional intelligence and positivity. It feels like the 21st century will be the century of women. If this podcast series is anything to go by, it can't come quick enough.

Thanks. I first heard about the Warm Regards podcast - https://soundcloud.com/warmregardspodcast at Andy Revkin's DotEarth. Eric Holthaus and Jacqueline Gill are terrific (Revkin's lukewarmism and serach for rational opposition voices could be annoying, I don't follow what he's doing now (ProPublica)). I haven't listened in ages, but Dr. Hayhoe is one of the best. She is also available here - "Global Weirding" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi6RkdaEqgRVKi3AzidF4ow

She is one of the few who can engage with what is - in my opinion unhelpfully - labeled "flyover country" and modern "evangelicals" (I can't find much christianity in the Republican-identifying evangelical promotions but it really doesn't matter what I think).

For anyone who doesn't want to take the time, please please go to minute 28 and listen to about minute 31 or after. That's some important stuff! Understanding other people and surrendering to communicating rather than affirming oneself is so important! (I'm still listening, but that bit is vital!)
