America's Finest News Source: Eminem terrified at his daughter's choice

"wholly terrified today after meeting his daughter Hailie’s new boyfriend Justin Denham, an 18-year-old who was reportedly raised on the rapper’s music."

"“And his parents let him listen to it?” Eminem continued. “What kind of house was that? I don’t even want to think about what kind of people they are.” "

“I have to go find my daughter right now.”

Very funny sidd, it made me think of social media tech leaders who don't want their children to have smartphones and use facebook etc.
Tom, that's a beautiful song from an album full of great music. I love Paul Simon.

For our minority of Netherlandic speakers, an old sarcastic song that gives a nice view of society in the 1930's. Fun to be had on the ice.
Quote: "Hou nou eens je gemak of ik schuif je in een wak" LOL

The clip has some nice old and interesting photo's.

Back to the (early) eighties...

A Hot Summer Night With Donna
The "we want more" track from her tour 1983, supported by her daughter Mimi.

State Of Independence from her 1980 album "Donna Summer" sung all the way live and she can sing:

It is too late just to be concerned about Climate Change

And my favourite from Francesco Puccioni from Roma, aka Mike Francis
Don't Start Givin' Up from his "Flashes of Life" album 1988

Enjoy the music - surprising harmony changes:

Thanks for those Stephan.
I really like Donna Summer. She has also made good music with Giorgio Moroder ("I Feel Love").
That Mike Francis song is nice and so recognizably coming from the late 80's.

Once a b/w video was posted here (perhaps) of a young singer lady giant and a piano with something probably not composed by Antonio Carlos Jobim. Possibly posted by Lurk, who deleted his stuff.

And I just can't recall that song. Not really Bossa, but subtler. Any hints? Jobim's Chega De Saudade has some hints, but I just don't get it together...

-------------------
P.S.: Duh. Didn't know Quincy Jones was such a cool nut!
(P.P.S.: I used to associate QJ with the whitened grooveless schmalz trash produced with Michael Jackson, the radio-torture background during the worst decade of my youth... :) ) What a contrast his old Big Band is!

(Forum search "function" can't retrive Jobim+HerbieHancock=ulimate_Wave 3-handed piano masters' piece ...) So, (incl. yet another music history remark by Dizzy Gillespie),

... and now for something completely different...
(The funny thing about Dr. Frunkenshtein's Trumpet is, it fits best to the piano.)

P.S.: (!) I'm changing between a prehistoric silver plated Miraphone 2C flügelhorn mouthpiece and a contemporary plastic trombone mouthpiece that cost 2x the gold plated thing, plus, half a dozen of tin cans of different acoustic geometry...

P.P.S.: My copper plumbing trumpet seems to be an original Baroque Clarino - perrhaps last heard in Beethoven's 5th piano concerto (alas in Es, not D - When will YouTube grant tuning for musicians? - Not holding my breath...). Need to revisit grandmaster JSB - but Telemann is way above me: Me too old, meanwhile...
