Nah if they are good music they fit here. If it is Ruud Gullit then it was a nice effort which really helped with PR but he was never gonna sing like he plays soccer.
The Sartre thing is just a short story but sadly i lost the dutch book.
My big dream was playing the dutch amateur band contest and being knocked out in the first round (so you do not actually have to move any equipment) , or play whatever came next and it would have been great to make it to the Melkweg (or Paradiso dont know which one had the finals) but every time the band was good someone had to go to south america for 6 months to do research so that never worked out but music is fun.
You play and that is communication. People play back.
When you sing with a group you can play with timing of what you sing, or the pitch etc.
I think that in Trainspotting there is this scene where they all sing in a pub and people used to do that. I always kind of envied that because we only ever got to drink beer and listen to crap music
or dance to the good music in bars but we never sang like a crowd.
It is powerful. I also know a version of online gaming buddies from Ireland singing a protest song. Cannot publish that version but is the same song done another way:
We are being conditioned to love stuff but we need to love experiences and those you make together with people and music is just a bloody good interface.
