Russian people deserve better than Putin and Kleptocrat's
« on: June 10, 2018, 08:42:33 PM »
The Russian people deserve much better than Vladimir Putin and his corrupt Oligarchs.

From time-to-time I will update this list and add to it (for instance add in the wealth of Oligarch's as the Mueller investigation continues to unwind Donald Trump's dealings with Russia and its Oligarch's.  This is just a SMALL BEGINNING.  I will also display the number of journalists killed in Russia over the last couple of decades ...  discuss the underdevelopment of the Russian economy, especially based on size ...... etc.  In short, the Russian people DESERVE MUCH BETTER THAN THUG PUTIN AND HIS KLEPTOCRAT's.

1)  CORRUPTION RANKING:  Ranks 135 out of 180 (the higher your number the more corrupt your country).  For comparison, Italy 54, Turkey 80, Britain 8, Canada tied for 8th , Germany 12, China 77, United States 16.  Russia is tied with Mexico at 135.  The most corrupt ranking in western Europe is Bulgaria at 71.

A notable worsening of this ranking for Russia—from 90th place to 126th—occurred at the beginning of Vladimir Putin's second term as president: a drop of 36 places in only one year. An equally pessimistic picture emerges from the estimates of the average size of bribes which has substantially increased over the last five years. For example, according to the Interior Ministry's Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the average bribe amounted to 9,000 Rubles in 2008; 23,000 Rubles in 2009; 61,000 rubles in 2010; and 236,000 rubles in 2011. In other words, the average bribe in 2011 was 26 times greater than the average bribe in 2008, many times the inflation rate for the same period.

3)  GDP:  Russia is ranked 11th in the world in GDP.  They are behind countries like Brazil, Italy, and

4)    Salary and wealth of Vladimir Putin

Salary:  According to official figures, in 2017 Putin earned 18.7 million rubles, or $302,000. His declared properties include an 828-square-feet apartment and a garage. A 16,145-square-feet plot of land listed the previous year was not mentioned, Agence France-Presse reported.

One thing that Trump and Putin apparently have in common, is they don't like to list their assets.  Of course.... Putin try's to UNDERPLAY HIS WEALTH ..... AND TRUMP OVERPLAY's his wealth (and Donnie doesn't admit to most of his wealth actually coming from Russia and Russian's).

Wealth:  Some peg Putin's wealth at $200 billion.  Not bad for someone who only earns hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.

Last year, Hermitage Capital Management CEO Bill Browder told the Senate Judiciary Committee that he believes the Russian president is "the richest man in the world" with a net worth of $200 billion. Browder has some bona fides to back up his Russia connections; the financier's firm was once the largest portfolio investor in Russia.

Oligarchs on the Rise: Everything You Need to Know About the Agalarovs

Quote
Who are the Agalarovs:

The June 9, 2016, meeting has become a focal point for Congressional investigators and the Special Counsel’s office as they continue the probes into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Given the above events, the Agalarovs’ involvement is of particular interest to investigators. Aras Agalarov, who was once referred to as “the Donald Trump of Russia,” is a Russian billionaire and real-estate developer whose willingness to take on beleaguered government projects as a display of unwavering loyalty to the state has earned him a spot in President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.  Agalarov, who was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, founded the Crocus Group in 1989 and began building his business empire in Moscow in the 1990s. According to Forbes, he is currently worth an estimated $1.7 billion, a fortune he has amassed over decades of building commercial and residential real estate in Russia. Many of his undertakings have been government contracts; others relied on funding from Russian state banks that the U.S. Treasury Department sanctioned in 2014, most notably Sberbank. After years of taking on state contracts for challenging projects, such as Vladivostok’s Far East Federal University, Agalarov won a spot at the conference table during Putin’s annual meeting with Russian oligarchs in December 2017. The timing of his ostensible foray into Putin’s good graces also coincides with his reported role in Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, when Agalarov helped set up a meeting between the Trump campaign and the Russian government attorney, Natalia Veselnitskaya, promising “dirt” on Trump’s political opponent.
