I thought it was on Balti but now I see it is on Jäava.
It's a bit farfetched I agree. Sorry, probably not a good joke. And I hadn't even smoked a joint... crickets... curtain

Who is Dinavian?
Everyone who can must self-isolate.

But back to the Baltic.

Per SMHI, anomalies from the 1961-1990 mean are running at +10 C for the first 16 days of the year over much of northern Sweden

Finnish snows as of yesterday (in centimeters, multiply by 4/10ths  to get inches): quite a lot in Lapland, almost normals (still abit below I think) in the middle, southwest and south, not so much normal. I think I've not seen temperatures below -9 C yet in my place (clear night NnW winds @ 0400 AM)

No measurable snow at Helsinki for both January and February 2020.
Can confirm the silght downwards trend with huge variation from early 1980s onwards.

"Long shadows of spring", a friend on their cottage in southwestern Finland.

We've had 6 episodes of minimal snow here this winter, possibly this is the last one. Friend and wife though have to come back to city to take care of their elderlies, so total isolation here is not possible.
