Looks like Worldview is down again today - no new imagery for 20 Aug. 2023.

Yup - Although perhaps information is starting to flow again?

There were some gaps in coverage for the 19th earlier today, but they are filled in now

Worldview seems to be back up with images for 8/21 and 8/22 restored.

With the melt season drawing to a close, sad to see that the Barrow webcam is still out of commission.

At this time of the year, I don't mind missing the Utqiagvik webcam.  Usually don't see any ice.

I hope its is back of course by Nov 1st or so when we watch the developing ice.

However sometimes you used to be able to see some big waves towards the end of summer:

Nome webcam is also out for a while now.

The problem has been due to the damage done to the Quintillion fibre optic cable.

The outage affected communities of Nome, Kotzebue, Point Hope, Wainwright, and Utqiagvik, Bethel, and others in between, forcing them to search for satellite alternatives.

So probably the reason the Utqiagvik camera is down too.

No Bremen images in the last 2 days.  The latest available image is for 31 August 2023:

Same problem for the JAXA/ADS and AWI images.  Seems to be a general problem with AMSR2 data?

This one sounds slightly ominous:

Missing product L2 PMW sea ice concentration (OSI-410-a)

Dear OSI SAF Sea Ice Concentration User,

Due to missing input data, we have not been able to generate L2 products, corresponding to  F-17  since Sep  4 10:42 UTC.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

It's back.  It seems the problems have been resolved.

Still no sign of the Alaskan webcams coming back.  :(

Some more detail on the reason for the fibre optic breakage here.

https://www.alaskasnewssource.com/2023/06/13/broadband-outage-affecting-north-slope-due-undersea-fiber-cut-company-says/

The web page mentions "icebergs" scouring the bed & cable which was located 90 feet below the water and buried beneath more than 13 feet of ocean floor.

However I believe it was most likely a stamukha (pressure ridge).

Worldview is coming up completely black for all days in all three regions today.  Am I the only one?

nm, it's back for me now.  Probably something on my end.

[ADS NIPR VISHOP (JAXA)] Arctic Sea Ice Extent.

February 3rd, 2024:

For the second day, ADS NIPR gives me a page only in white.
Am I the only one that is not able to see the graph and data?

Source: https://ads.nipr.ac.jp/vishop/#/extent

I only get VISHOP in text using Firefox. It works fine using Chrome

Could it be browser extensions causing a problem? Or perhaps a traceroute gap. Always a quick & easy troubleshooting step to run a traceroute. (Google is your friend)
