Attached are the graphs and tables for the High Arctic & the Peripheral Seas

In the Peripheral Seas the story once again is about the Greenalnd Sea, with very large sea ice area increases. How much is from freezing & how much from Fram sea ice export?

In the High Arctic, the Beaufort is currently 1st lowest in the 45 year satellite record and the CAA 3rd lowest.

Weirdly, all single-day NSIDC area values in Nico's chart for 2023 are below 2020, yet the 5-day NSIDC area average moved above 2020. I can't figure it out.

Problems with Nico Sun's https://cryospherecomputing.com/

It might be Windows 11 / google

I had problems with even accessing the images on Nico Sun's site (error messsages from google) after a big Windows 11 update recently - & some other odd wobbles with other programs I use. Then after another windows update things sort of got better.

Meanwhile, it looks like no JAXA (ADS) data for a 2nd day - site can't be accessed, not even a twitter message.

I added the monthly extent value for August and September 2023 into my long-term plot where I calculate the extent anomalies from 1979 up to now.
The average (1979-2023) NSIDC September extent is now 5.93 M km². September 2023 had an average extent of 4.37 M km², which is 1.56 M km² below that long-term average.
This month's value was below the long-term linear trend line. The difference of the actual month from that trend line is -0.39 M km² (calculated from the linear trend line this September should have been at 4.76 M km²).

The slope of the long-term linear trend line became steeper by one digit (-0.0524 → -0.0525).
