Just Have a Think

In the past, Greenman3610 made regular Climate Denial Crock of the Week videos.
The next great division of the world will be between people who wish to live as creatures
and people who wish to live as machines.

Zembla is a dutch investigative journalism show.

It is not dedicated to climate change but it does very good treatments of many of the issues that are discussed in AGW/Consequences.

This one is pretty interesting but in dutch.

It discusses a chicken experiment done to figure out if biological feed was better and how it was sabotaged by the research big partners TNO and Wageningen University.

Two groups of identical chickens where given the same food but it was either grown biologically or in the general industry farming way. The scientists did not know which one was which.

The first 5 minutes compare the soil in a biological farm vs their neighbour who is conventional.

At around 10 minutes they discuss how fertilizer stops plants from looking for food from the soil.
At 14 minutes in the story about the study starts.

Small time researcher partners up with two big institutes to work out if they can detect a difference in chicken as a proxy for humans. They grew very much at the same rate with one group lagging. Then they added an immune challenge for the chickens. The slightly slower growing group then overtook the other group. So this was the winner of the experiment.

Of course this was the biologically fed group but that was not the conclusion the establishment scientists wanted. Wageningen is very much related to tech farming and TNO too i guess so they forced here to declare they found no difference.

And an episode about PFAS made by DuPont in Zeeland. The commentary is english and the dutch interviews are subtitled in the show so you do not need the YT ones.

The permits to pollute these companies got were ridiculous. Thank you government!

There is also Paul Beckwith's channel, but he is as extreme as Sam Carana (albeit more philosophical than hysterical).

Interview with Doomer Dr. Eliot Jacobson. It adresses some familiar climate graphs but i also like his discussion about doomerism vs hope or in the old greek meaning false expectations.

The main point is also familiar. We hope our must grow model will work for some years more but it is problematic in many areas already.

Hey there! I'm Adam, a climate scientist with a PhD from Oxford, sharing what you need to know about climate change!

After all, climate change can be pretty overwhelming. But talking about it with me isn't! Whether it's understanding the problem, to what we need to do to protect ourselves, this is the place to be!
