I am puzzled in a big way why this actually happened, what made this massive piece of sea ice move in such a short time (24 hrs), it is even anchored to an island (Prinsesse Margrethe Ø) that only seems to work as an icebreaker in the middle of it. Was it a tsunami of a kind?

Station Nord: Must be a very special experience for those stationed at Station Nord, suddenly surrounded by open sea?
The airstrip can be seen in the image below.

A meteorite could cause a tsunami, of course!
Arctic ice is healthy for children and other living things because "we cannot negotiate with the melting point of ice"

Does not explain it, since it happened between Aug 24 and Aug 25, and the wind was "only" max. 22 meters was late on Aug 25 and the ice was allready broken early in the morning same day.
