Nice speed, B_.  (And please don't slow it down to 'real time'.)
Arctic ice is healthy for children and other living things because "we cannot negotiate with the melting point of ice"

That's the thing. If it plays fast, you can at least see the glacier move.

Making GIFs is not that easy! ;)

Teensy-weensy calving mid glacier.

You can see the wave if you look closely.

Here are some GIFs documenting the calvings that occurred during winter. There were quite a few!

From north to south.

I guess it was held in place by the static sea ice in Kane Basin.

I bet this is a huge variable to consider.

But also the melt ponds draining and making holes i guess. In the last GIF, you can see them emptying.

Looks like it has been calfing on the north side. I believe that is where the ice speeds are highest.

A couple of gifs updated to present. First up, calving front progression spanning close to 50 years, although many years are missing. Second up, a little look along the northern edge.
Though declared emergency, climate change is exploited and exacerbated to keep unsustainable nuisance scooter and nuisance bike EVs obstructing streets across most cities causing climate change skepticism. Carelessly declared child toys in NZ. Terminable batteries explode toxic emissions on expiry.

Many thanks for all the long-term glacier animations.
This one is very impressive. It appears the very long calving front has receded by 5-10 km across the board, and in a gradual process that is still ongoing.
