When will the Arctic Sea Ice Extent minima be reached?

The September SIE minima is nearing. When do you think the minima of 2014 will occur? The minima date will be determined by IARC-JAXAs numbers.

This gives Day-of-year dates through 2012.
Sept. 1, 2014 = Day # 244
Sept. 30, 2014 = Day # 273

Still time to vote for which date the Arctic SIE minimum will occur!!  8) So far most people who have voted seem to think that we'll see the minima come after September 15.

Er, sometime in September.

I'm not voting because I see a longish bottoming and weather will play a large role, we'll probably see a few false alarms. I've already decided to do my seasonal roundup in early September when August's data is in.

According to IARC-JAXA the minimum should have been reached on September 17. Only one of the 34 voters believed in this date. Congratulations whoever you are!  8)

But I  can't clam anything more prescient than it  was the only  late day that  hadn't had a minimum over the past few years.
