Don't tell them about the termites then. Big termite mounds in Africa produce enough methane on a continuous basis to keep an incandescent light bulb burning. Saw a video of it once. Termites, on a global basis, produce as much as 20 million tons of methane a year. Worms and bugs! It explains everything! And don't even think of bringing up cows.

Reminds me of something I read once about terrestial earthworms increasing the rate of carbon cycling from the soil... or some change related to their activity with respect to climate change and the impacts on the soil carbon balance.
The idea didn't seem to take off in the denier community, but you saw the inevitable few trying the idea on for size...
