KiwiGriff has it.  Entries for the Darwin awards.

Slightly more concerning that the WSJ had knowledge of the truth but chose, for its own reasons, not to publish it.

Policy and solutions / Re: Oil and Gas Issues

A more critical person would note that filing a chapter 11 bankruptcy now is the last chance the oil patch has to dump debt before their finances surge. The surge in filings is probably a positive sign for the industry. Chapter 11 is a negotiation between those who owe money and those who are owed money. A chapter 11 bankruptcy keeps the business open and owners keeping their assets. They may have to sell or turn over some assets as agreed to in negotiations but everything is not liquidated and the business remains open. It would be more aptly named debt renegotiation.
And is it used to dump the liability to finance cleanup costs, or is that too cynical?
(Nah, impossible to be too cynical when talking about a petro-state like Texas).

Unlike Jim (and Vox?), I have just received the occasional irritation, and simply used the delete button.

But if it happens again....

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten a chance to look at the daily measurements coming from Barrow lately. It seems like Arctic methane is undergoing an anomalous increase. Has anyone said anything about it?
