In Watergate there were at sleast 3 people in Nixons administration that came clean and reported information to either the FBI, senate investigators, or to
Journalists:  (1) Hugh Sloan (in charge of payoffs at the RNC). (2) Alexander Butterfield...who was only 1 of 3 people who knew about Nixon tapeing people in his office, and John Dean, the presidents attorney.

Who is going to flip on Donnie....???

1). Still waiting for Washington press corps to "up their game" and pressure lying Sarah Huckabee on her lies and Donnie's lies.  It WILL happen....but we're certainly not there yet.

2). You should expect more and more attacks on first amendment rights by Donnie and company.  Also expect even LESS access to questioning of Donnie, his administration, and his communications department led by woefully unqualified Fake Christian Sarah Huckabee.

Lies like the dark corners of quiet.....and the rambunctious fray of unreasoned confusion.  Expect Donnie, Sarah and company to follow that strategy closely over the coming months.

I have one nagging question in my mind regarding RussiaGate right now:  Who is passing information from Russia to Donnie right now?

Someone...or more than one person likely.....is passing information to Donnie or someone close to Donnie.  Donnie is now too paranoid to use email (he uses it rarely anyway)....he is likely paranoid about using any phone communication.  So who is passing information to Donnie?

They couldn't do it directly....too many people around.  The Secret Service is always there.

I wonder why Donnie Jr. has ditched his secret service as of last week?

Hmmmmmmmm

Someone is passing information to Donnie or his family by hand.  Who is it (are they)?  And will they be discovered?
=====================

When I say that Russia is passing/handing information to Donnie, that information is in the form of orders and requests by the Russians.  Things they want Donnie to do...and when they want them done.  For all intents and purposes...he is on their payroll....and has been BEFORE entering office.  YEARS before entering office.

I see that Donnie is busy tonight hurtling the US into a possible nuclear war with North Korea.  Kim is the worst leader in the world.  Having the second worst leader in the world in Donnie is very little consolation.

The folks around Donnie in his administration better get their shit together SOON.  General Kelly and Nikki Haley I am talking ABOUT YOU.  Staying in office is NOT a service to our country.  It is a DISSERVICE to our country.

What WOULD BE a service to our country....is stepping down from your position in the administration, and telling the US PEOPLE that we elected someone TOTALLY UNFIT for the office....and he needs to be REMOVED ASAP before he destroys the country.

THAT would be a great service to the country.

Tom Price....one of Donnie's  CROOKS in his administration.....has racked up more than $300,000 in costs for using private jets.  Just last week...he spent $25,000 for a trip from Washington DC to Philadelphia that should have cost him less than $700 for commercial jet or $500 for train.

Tom is a crook from Georgia...my current domicile.  He is pathetic...and crooked.  He never would have been given a second look in any other administration.  But in Donnie's filthy swamp...he fits in perfectly.

I'm so shocked 😳 that my pals at FOX News haven't been all over this.  Obama using Dijon mustard on his hamburger was a national offense.  But Tom Price wasting more than $250,000 is ok by FOX.

I guess FOX is still too busy lying 🤥

So.....it turns out that Spicey took detailed notes during his stay in the White House.   I wonder if Mueller will be interested in any of those notes?😳

And this month seems to be "squeeze Paul Manaforts nuts month".

I'm sure that CNN will again play their production of "All The Presidents Men:  Replay".  This was an hour long special where the main players still living....look back at Watergate.  I've already watched it twice....and will watch it again.  It is amazing how much relates to RussiaGate today.

The one thing I look forward to.....is the timing of the charges in the coming RussiaGate charges.  For instance....:

1). Will Eric Schneiderman (the NY attorney general) bring state charges FIRST against Donnie...BEFORE Mueller brings his charges?

2). Is it possible for Mueller to bring his federal charges against Donnie FIRST....and wait until Donnie is removed from office BEFORE bringing charges against some of the supporting staff?  If so.....could Mueller wait until Donnie is removed from office BEFORE bringing charges against the support staff?  That COULD make it possible for Donnies support staff to be "hung out to dry"....and Donnie could be removed from office before he is able to pardon anyone.

And if Mueller were to "telegraph" that play......would the telegraphing of that strategy force the support staff to spill the beans on Donnie in order to cut a deal? ::)

Timing is everything....and Mueller likely has many more psychological games to play over the coming months.  It will be truly interesting...

Things continue to get more interesting in RussiaGate:

1). Boy was Paul Manafort lying about not having contacts with Russian sources.😳
2). Bill Palmer had an article out today about Donnie's financial troubles.  I am in lockstep with him on this issue.  As I have noted before the election....Donnie is NOT worth what he says is...and he is increasingly looking like someone who is "cash strapped"....and trying to gobble up any money he can while he is in office.

Donnie really has screwed the pooch.....but I don't know that he had much of a choice.  Time will tell....but there is a WHOLE LOT MORE to this story than we know.  We are only seeing the top of the iceberg.  There is another 90% that we don't know about YET.

Donnie.....Donnie.....Donnie:  Where DID your folks go wrong? 😳

Donnie Small Hands continues to cut links to scientific data at various scientific sites throughout the US.

So.....eight months in and this is what Donnie Small Hands has achieved:

1). Put us closer to nuclear war than we have been since the 1960's
2). Continue to antagonize Iran
3). Has scrapped a great deal of scientific data that is now not accessible
4). Continued to attempt to kick millions of US citizens off of healthcare
5). Used campaign funds to pay for his and his sons legal fees related to RussiaGate
6). Continue to oversee a US dollar that continues to drop as other countries continue to price some commodities in the Chinese Yuan.

We are drawing closer to the point where we will soon see a couple of high level resignations in Donnie's administration.

The US has a sociopath at the helm..  and his hands are off the wheel.  Things will get much more serious before we see any improvement....and any improvement will only come AFTER Donnie and Mikey are removed from office....and that may be a year or more from now.

Saw a clip of General Kelly listening to Donnie speak at the UN today.  Kelly looks like a man who knows what he has to do...(quit)...but isn't too thrilled about it.  And if you take that one step further....Kelly may know that he not only has to quit....he has to warn people that Donnie is not fit to be in the Oval Office.  It is Kelly's DUTY to do that....but he doesn't like it.

One of the most important things that a leader does is to set the "tone" and the parameters for what she/he expects from their team.  In the case of Donnie....he wants and rewards bullying.  You saw that in Sean Spicer and the rest of the communication team.   Even a lackey like Sarah FC Huckabee has tried to employ a "tougher edge".  People pick up on and often times emulate their leaders characteristics......for better or worse.

Donnie's Trump attorney was supposed to NOT communicate publicly... and instead did just the opposite.  Now...the Senate committee will interview him in PUBLIC rather than in private.  I expect that to be fairly combative on both sides.

I expect a LOT of combativeness over the coming year as layer after layer of the rotting onion is peeled back.  And I expect that a couple issues could wind their way to the Supreme Court.

I think Donnie's sociopathic ways will leave many people in amazement.

She comes from "bad stock" (fake Christian Mike Huckabee).....so we'll see if she continues to ski over the tips of her skis.......or she decides to throttle back her continual spewing of lies for Donnie.

I wonder how many years Brad Parscale is going to serve after the state of NY brings charges for interfering with the presidential election?  I'm afraid Donnie's pardon won't do him any good.  In addition...there will likely be other charges brought against him.

The "message" sent by NY's AG has been very clear:  Anyone connected to Trumps team that was involved in breaking NY laws leading up to, or after, the 2016 election will be prosecuted.

Brad is in DEEP SHIT right now.....

Uncle Mikey Pence (we're close😉) looks to be in serious trouble.  Everyone knows that he has been lying from day one.  All those acting classes where he worked so hard on giving a serious look when he lied have all been for naught.

And now all the folks in his staff know that his goose is cooked.

As I noted many months ago....both Donnie and Mikey are toast .  A LOT of answers are still unknown.  Who's going to be fried first?  Are they going to be fried together?  What is going to happen to Paul Ryan?  Is shit going to hit the fan before January of 2018 when the Republicans are still in charge....OR...will they be ousted AFTER the next Congress is seated....and if that next House of Reps has the Democrats in charge.....that means we could have President Nancy.

Crazy times ahead.  If I were you Donnie.....I would get in all the golf you can over the next year.  It will likely be the last golf you play for a while.

Jim P.....

Absolutely agree with your post RE Zuckerburg.  And that means that WE....all of us....need to work harder to combat fake news and the lies they spread.

Russia is CERTAINLY one of the primary forces at the heart of fake news.  And they will continue to spread lies as best they can.  Putin guides his own people through RT......intimidating (and killing) those that speak against his administration.....as well as having his trolls spread lies (whether in Russia or other countries around the world).

I would suspect that most any website of any significant size is "infected" by Vladimir trolls from time to time.  And that certainly would include this website.  It is really not much different than what FOX has done.  In fact....I would bet that they learned that if a FOX can get away with continually lying....why can't they do it as well?

Putin and Trump are cut from the same clothe:  Lying, greedy, and in search of as much power and money as they can grab by whatever means they can.

Donnie and Mnuchin (treasury secretary) have been out lying about US corporate tax rates.

The US does NOT have the highest effective tax rates in the world.  Our effective tax rate is is slightly above the middle of the pack.

The reason it is slightly above the middle of the pack is very simple:  The US spends almost 3 times the amount that China spent on defense in 2016.  We spent 9 times what Russia spent.  In fact.....we spent more on defense than the next 50 countries COMBINED.😳

So the problem isn't the corporate tax rate.  Next time you catch someone lying about this....you need to straighten them out.

4).  Shown an inability to speak coherently....put together a full sentance in English...and has continually shown the ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
5).  An inability to show compassion

The phrase/quote that "success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan" has its origin in 98 AD (No......not 98 years "After Donnie ::).  So it has been around for a long time.  Kennedy used a variation of that in describing the Bay of Pigs fiasco in the early '60's.

And now......we will be seeing a lot of "fathers" running away from what they created in Donald Trump.  They won't all leave at once.....and you can see how that process had already started over the past several months.  But now....it is likely to gain a little momentum.

And this loss of power by Donnie is likely to negatively impact his ability to get anything of consequence done.

His move to do away with many of the regulations of Obama.....is now looking to be foolish and short sighted.  His refusal to stay in the Paris climate change accord......likewise is looking foolish.

I'm sure that the people of Houston will be feeling much better now that Mikey (Pence) is coming to town.  This is the same Mikey who voted AGAINST flood relief after Hurricane Sandy.  I want to see him spin that one.

As Donnie and family are stripped of any last doubt that the are as guilty as sin, and we go through the next several months of tv hearings and legal chess.....the question of just how WIDE the net will be now becomes more prominent:

1). Tier 1 is Donnie and anyone who helped in executing the collusion with Russia.

2). Tier 2 is those who knew in real time, and helped in trying to coverup....but weren't involved in the actual execution or planning.

3). Tier 3 are those that didn't know in real time....but found out later, and still chose to help coverup.

4). Tier 4 are those that knew what was going on...or knew what did happen...but chose not to coverup...but also chose NOT to say anything.  Congressmen fall into this group...and I suspect they have at least political jeopardy.....and possible removal from office.

As you work your way down that outline....you can see that the net that catches Congressmen, ex Congressmen (right Jason😳), friends (Rudy), fake journalists (Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, FOX News), etc......that net could be pretty large.

This will take a long time to play out....and many of those involved may not be charged until AFTER Donnie is removed from office.  Which means they won't be pardoned by Donnie.

There won't be many NEW ICE cars sold after 2025.  There won't be many new ICE pickup trucks sold after 2030 or sooner. And there won't be many new ICE semi trucks sold after 2035.

Now I understand what the "buggy industry" felt like as the model T wiped them out.  Or Kodak when digital cameras wiped them out.

So now we are to the point that everyone except a couple of lonely soles from Australia and Canada know that Donnie and company were working with people connected to the Russian government during the election.

Now my concern turns to policy.  And one of the last things that Donnie will try to get accomplished as he limps toward his resignation sometime within the next 10 - 12 months....is tax policy.

If you listen to the Trump administration (🤡) or to those in the GOP (💀💀💀💀)....they will continually say that the US has one of the highest tax rates in the world.

FIRST....you need to understand the difference between STATATORY rate and EFFECTIVE rate.  The statutory rate is based on the tax BEFORE tax credits reduce your tax liability.  EFFECTIVE rate is based on the ACTUAL TAX YOU PAY (which is AFTER the credits).  EFFECTIVE RATE is the important rate.  The US only has a slightly higher effective rate....while the US has a much higher statutory rate.  In other words... the US has a lot of tax credits, especially corporate tax credits.

The second thing you need to understand is the US spends as much on defense as the next umpteen countries COMBINED (and Donnie wants to increase that).  If you spend THAT much on defense...you're going to HAVE to have at least a slightly higher effective rate.

So when the tv adds that are now running, talk about the US rates being much higher in the US....that is NOT TRUE for the important EFFECTIVE RATES.

Donnie better start praying to Joel Osteen (famous fake Christian fraud) for more news OTHER THAN RussiaGate..... 'cause it is not looking good for Donnie and company.

All those dots in RussiaGate keep connecting.....and Trumps prior statements on Russia continue to be nothing but lies.😱

I'm glad the dam's in Houston have held.  I don't think Donnie is going to be nearly as lucky when his dam breaks and the truth buries him and his fraudulent family.

In American football....there is never a "good time" for your team to fumble or throw an interception.  But some fumbles are worse than others.  Like when your offense is on its own 10 yard line and your backed up to your end zone.  NOW would not be a good time for Donnie to have a fumble....like someone leaving his cabinet.  Pressure is mounting on Donnie....Mexico is making him look like a total fool....and his poll numbers are slowly sinking.   More bad info on Russia continues to spill out.  He looks and sounds like a bafoon regarding the storm.

It's third down and twenty on his own ten yard line.  What play is Donnie going to call?

I see the oil and gas companies are hiring people to do some blogging for them.  Maybe Saudi Aramco and the investment banks are trying to keep oil from taking further so they can get the IPO off the ground in 2018.

I like that the KochHeads are trying to bash renewables...while trying to push oil and gas.  Those KochHeads....they will do or say anything for O & G.🙄

Exxon stock can't get out of its own way.  Even with gasoline futures rising....XOM is doing nothing.  Any bump up in stock prices of oil companies will continue to be sold into by investors getting out of Dodge.  Over coming months I expect $60ish to be hit.  I think the 5 year low is $57 and change...and that is a possibility.  Right now it is at $76ish..

This is going to be a LONG painful journey for XOM stockholders.

I think the thoughts by Mattis are VERY REAL.  Tillerson pulling away slightly...I also think is real, but we'll find out for sure over the next few months.

Humans change their position on things slowly....and it is a process.  The polls show that.  And as the polls slowly deteriorate....others will pull away as well.  Some.....like DeVoss, Perry, Sessions, Carson, etc...will NEVER pull away.  And just like Nixon, there will be 25 - 30% of the population that will stick with him to the bitter end.

I expect crazy things to happen in the coming months..... We all know (with the exception of someone living in Canada and someone in Australia), that Donnie is really crazy.  But we don't yet know what level of craziness he will go to.  I suspect it is higher than any of us think it is.  Think... Houston rainfall levels of craziness.⛈🌪  And he is not only crazy....he is mean, short sighted, impulsive, and without empathy.  Not a good combination.

Over the weekend..... Tillerson and Mattis pulled away from Trump slightly.  This is part of the continuing process of people pulling away from Trump.  It is a slow process...but week by week it continues.

Two things to me that are interesting.....are the exposure of the "political Christians" (as opposed to real Christians).... and the racist segment of the US.  And there is some definite overlap in those two groups as well.  My girlfriend has a couple of friends who are racists while at the same time touting their supposed Christianity.

I guess it shouldn't be surprising that those two groups support Trump.  But they are being exposed...and that is a good thing.

My use of "tax cut" was more metaphorical.  It puts more money in everyone's pockets with the exception of oil and gas companies, electric utilities, and investors in both of those.  The additional cash flow is substantial.....and will be recurring.  I noted BEFORE the election that this would help whoever won the election.  When you combine transportation costs, vehicle insurance costs, healthcare costs, and residential/business energy costs.....we'll continue to see significant cash flow savings drop into their wallets in coming years.
