I note that Holographic information theory predicts that dark energy is not constant during the age of the universe [see Gough (2013) & (2014) and Farajollahi & Ravanpak (2016) and Battersby (2016)], as is support by the linked recent research:

West Churchman; however, I post the following linked article about the roles of deception and enlightenment here in the "Systemic Isolation" thread to emphasize the role of embracing free will (as reflected by our individual quirks) in order to overcome systemic isolation:

Extract: "We are not merely in a state of deception.  We are rather, at one and the same time, both confused and enlightened.  This may sound at first trivial, but when we reflect on the fact that we are not merely operating with a consciousness that has a bit of enlightenment and a bit of confusion, but is rather both completely confused and completely enlightened, we find ourselves with a paradox.  The paradox is not merely a puzzle to be solved – it is rather something that we must carry.  Again we can remember Churchman's insight that we can not have a "guarantor," at any moment.  Translated into this context, we cannot know, at any moment, what perception is accurate – is "enlightenment" and what is "distorted" – is our "deception."  Contemplating this deeply will call us to explore every possible ramification of our decisions and actions.

But can we understand further the idea of complete confusion and complete enlightenment, coexisting in us at any moment?  It is this question that calls us to look toward the perennial wisdom tradition, which, we will find, is based on this exact condition, reflected well in the words of Dogen, a great Zen master: Those who greatly realize delusion are buddhas (Nishiijima and Cross, 1994, p. 33).

We recognize, then, given that the word buddha means "to be awake" and therefore not deluded, that the Dogen's words are a self-referential paradox, the very kind on which Godel based his "incompleteness theorem."  The theorem, in essence, warns us never to assume any system of thought/interpretation could be without deception, that is, could possibly have complete perception of "Reality."

From the viewpoint of the perennial tradition, things are better than they appear because our life is meant to be, quite literally, a mirror of our essence, the expression of beauty and potentiality.  In the language of the Abrahamic traditions, and also the language of Buddhism, the human being's perfection or buddha nature waits to come forth, and it is the tests and trials of life that bring it forth.  This perfection is not a predetermined structure based on a static "Reality" or archetype.  It is, rather, an emergence from a non-equilibrium condition, a fresh expression of being in a new configuration, only possible in a universe that allows for free will and indeterminancy.

The work on dissipative self-organization and on the embrace of uncertainty (Prigogine and Stengers, 1997) offers us a great deal of insight into the way that nature self-evolves, via non-equilibrium conditions – towards greater beauty and elegance, ever going beyond the constraints and limitations of stale or sclerosed perspective.

By way of summary, we echo Churchman's basic insight: We are ever deceived, and we are greatly deceived.  We do, indeed, "see through a glass darkly."  Our deception will be with us as long as we live as human beings, chained to the wall of Plato's cave.

The answer is to face of our deception, to look through the eyes of another, to recognize that no singular worldview will suffice; we need to see that there really are no "experts" in the inquiry into human systems dynamics.  We must, again in Churchman's language, become an enemy of our deception, and realize that each of us has "a quirk about the destiny and improvement of the human condition, just as all the rest of humanity has its quirks" Churchman (1979, pp. 213-214).

This "quirk" of which (Churchman speaks) is the key to our particular contribution in this life, our "quirk about the destiny and improvement of the human condition."  As such it is never trivial, but the vision that must live and evolve in spite of the paradox of our deception and enlightenment.  This is the "thought of the heart" that give passion and purpose to our lives, encouraging us, again in Churchman's words, to the "radiant" aspect of our beings, an aspect that is deeply enhanced by our realization of both our deception and our enlightenment."

I note that in Holographic models (based on both String Theory and Quantum Gravity), and in HIOTTOE, dark matter is an emergent property of the information based universe (see Reply #202, among others).  Thus, the factor that the LHC has not yet found any superpartner particle candidates for dark matter (see the linked article); partially helps to make Holographic models and/or HIOTTOE more likely to be correct:

To me Vipassana is fully in keeping with the scientific method, and thus insights from Vipassana can be used as a 'guarantor' in complex systems (like human society and/or climate change) as discussed by C. West Churchman (see Reply #405) to guard against the deception arising from uncertainty.  In this regards I provide some extract from the linked Wikipedia article entitled: "Saṅkhāra" (see the first image).  Such insights can be used to overcome systemic isolation (including scientific reticence) that leads to human suffering (such as the probable socio-economic collapse circa 2050 associated with human society's inability to take responsibility for such problems as 'over-shoot' and climate change).  Sankara's can also be thought of as seeds of becoming of preconditioned information that diversion from reality thus causing suffering (see the last three images):

It connotes "impression, disposition, conditioning, forming, perfecting in one's mind, influencing one's sensory and conceptual faculty" as well as any "preparation, sacrament" that "impresses, disposes, influences or conditions" how one thinks, conceives or feels.

The Buddha stated that all volitional constructs are conditioned by ignorance (avijja) of impermanence and non-self. It is this ignorance that leads to the origination of the sankharas and ultimately causes human suffering (dukkha).  The cessation of all such sankharas (sabba-saṅkhāra-nirodha) is synonymous with Enlightenment (bodhi), the attainment of nirvana. The end of conditioned arising or dependent origination in the karmic sense (Sankharas), yields the unconditioned phenomenon of nirvana.

As the ignorance conditions the volitional formations, these formations condition, in turn, the consciousness (viññāna). The Buddha elaborated:

'What one intends, what one arranges, and what one obsesses about: This is a support for the stationing of consciousness. There being a support, there is a landing [or: an establishing] of consciousness. When that consciousness lands and grows, there is the production of renewed becoming in the future. When there is the production of renewed becoming in the future, there is future birth, aging & death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, & despair. Such is the origination of this entire mass of suffering & stress.'"

If you don't get anything else from the video, you should get that you should not be surprised if the LHC never finds any massive superpartners.  If this is the case then a Holographic Universe is more likely.

The natural setting for the discussion were closed quantum systems with non-vanishing and even high energy density, where eigenstates of thermalizing systems would show volume law entanglement. In contrast eigenstates of many-body localized systems exhibit area-law entanglement akin to quantum ground states. We have shown how this feature of the localized phase enables efficient computation and facilitates the use of powerful theoretical approaches to describe the dynamics. In particular, we reviewed a renormalization group approach, useful for capturing universal dynamics controlled by critical points which separate distinct localized phases.

A simple phenomenological description in terms of local conserved quantities emerges naturally from the RG approach. It is also not clear if localization is the only way to establish non thermalizing phases in a generic way or if there are other intriguing possibilities which do not involve localization in real space. To gain deeper insight into these issues may require the development of novel theoretical approaches. Finally, and most importantly, physical systems which would allow systematic experimental investigation of many-body localization phenomena need to be identified."

Penrose's Conformal Cyclic Cosmology not only complies with Shape Dynamics, but also with HIOTTOE.

The following references demonstrate that the concept of holographic dark energy is proving very useful for the calibration of different models from string theory, general relativity (and presumably shape dynamics), cosmology, and quantum gravity, to rapidly converge on mathematics that may soon exceed the success of the Standard Model, w.r.t. matching the observed universe.  I believe that this progress is compatible with HIOTTOE, and will support Roger Penrose's observations cited in my last post (about CCC).

Not to be overly simplistic, but frame theory is increasingly used for signal processing, and just as frame theory can be used to help explain how images come into focus (see image from the linked pdf), information theory can be used to explain how individual human personalities come into focus and how individual universes come into focus from HIOTTOE's free-will information network:

The second cited reference indicates that the holographic principle (and by extension HIOTTOE) can be used to provide alternate values for the Hubble Constant, as new finding discussed in the first reference indicate that projections using the current Standard Model cannot accurately match recent observational measurements:

i disagree, one of the most difficult decisions to pull through is to sit put and calm watching the chaos around you and do nothing until the moment is right so not to waist energy before the right time has come.

this especially applies where physical life and economical survival are at steak. hyperactivity can enlarge the already existing holes to a size and depth from where it gets almost impossible to recover.

In many of my posts I have discussed the differences between 'Survival of the Fittest' type thinking and 'Natural Selection', but I am under the impression that many readers still do not appreciate the difference.  Therefore, here I note that to me 'Survival of the Fittest' assumes a preconditioned value function for what is good; while 'Natural Selection' does not make any such assumption of a preconditioned value function, but rather only that the selection follow the laws of nature/reality.

In this sense the 1800's concept of Social Darwinism presumes that the 'best' people become dominate, as assumed by many racists, because the 'pure people' pre-determine what is 'best'.  While in HIOTTOE, the laws of nature/reality are based only on freewill operating within a freewill information network.  Thus in HIOTTOE, the configuration of the freewill information network that we observe is evolved based on natural selection as selected by the over 1023 dimples/points of freewill within our network.

I have found that the writings of Humberto Maturana shed considerable insight into this topic, in particular a paper titled "The Origin of Species by Natural Drift" (2000). Maturana is Chilean but his work has been widely translated. In order to challenge the Standard Model requires data with at least a six standard deviation significance rather than a 4.2 sigma significance; however, data from the ATLAS experiment (that is currently being analyzed) will either push these preliminary findings over the six sigma threshold, or alternately will show a null result.  Thus in a few months we should know whether, or not, the Standard Model needs to be modified, replaced, or left as is:
