Arctic Circle 2016 conference
« on: October 09, 2016, 05:41:47 PM »
For the record---parking this here as I can't find it anywhere else----the Arctic Circle 2016 conference is just ending today. This is a major international conference on all sorts of Arctic issues, held this year in Reykjavik. Lots of scientists and research institutes are participating.

Not much online yet, but I gather that many of the sessions have mentioned or dealt specifically with climate change in the Arctic. Perhaps more info, videos, etc, will be coming out in the next wee while.

Example: one session today focused on "Earth Observations" and called for all data on atmosphere, oceans, sea/land ice, biodiversity, etc. to be shared---which apparently is not the case at the moment?
