Ivica,

Thanks for starting this thread.  While we all fear what the future will hold for us, due to the ravages of AGW/CC, it never hurts to lighten each day with some humor.

Background,

Let's more about Dr. Ehrlich's dream, Personalized Medicine, at 11:30...
New view on microbiota (an organ) should trigger (when?) a revolution in Pharmacology/Cosmetic/Food Industry.
Effects of their products on microbiota were never tested.

Reading about metagenome a year ago my 1st reflection was recalling an old joke from childhood:
"If an apple is not good for a worm why it should be good for me?"
Thinking now, even I am, on individual level, Kelele stuff

There was a documentary about rock recently on tv (arte) and they showed clear interest for the velvet underground mouvement... well for me, Pink Floyd is part of the rock even thought it is not registered as such !
If you know french or german :

It does remains a few days online!

Background, .

Bioinformatics ((Meta)Genomic) did tremendous exponential increase of sequencing power (at 10:32...) in the last 2 decades:
Kb -> Mb -> Gb -> Tb
b = (gene's) base

Warped from Kb to Tb.
Climatology needs a 'warp' too.

John Baez have incredible talent to present complex stuff in very accessible and readable way. That works even for me, I have many of his articles on my To Read list, not only from his famous This Week's Finds seria, ..., Climate related stuff too.

He will have a talk at the Cal State Northridge Climate Science Seminar, April 26, 2013:
Milankovitch Cycles and the Earth’s Climate.

To what degree, we are victims of lexic & syntax, ignoring semantic.
