This one is definitely worth keeping a close eye on, since it has the potential to go caldera... it's a tall edifice in an area with a lot of calderas, which hasn't yet collapsed. Its habit of having large (VEI-5ish) eruptions at extended intervals is worrisome, as it allows large magma chambers to build. Tambora was very similar before it went pop in 1815 - the largest eruption in modern history, which resulted in the 'year without a summer'.
Having said that, it's only a potential, and volcanoes do whatever they feel like (usually involving confounding geologists). A few thousand years here or there before the caldera collapse is nothing. So it could do something spectacular... but the odds are on another VEI-5 type eruption, with major local inconvenience (usually extremely well handled by the Indonesian authorities) but little global effect. So yes, definitely needs watching!
