Nema na cemu, Ivica!

You must be from Zagreb, as it would surprise me if anyone in the rest of Croatia has ever read the Hitchhiker's Guide. On the other hand, if you really want to be thankful for the fish, you'd have to go to Dalmatia.  8)

...You must be from Zagreb...

Nope, Sisak.

BTW: Having posters location shown in Profile section left of a post could help with "communication".
I mean - someone like me, from non-english area and not being fluent with English can unintentionaly make gramatical/semantical error of such a type that what is written is not (mildly said) what was intented to say.
A reader, knowing poster's location, could be more tolerant then, I guess.

Ivica, I will try to change this, but haven't found it so far in my Admin panel.

I'm not registered there, just a thought, maybe this helps:

Er, you got me thinking :-)
Let me try to explain, this is small country where Magic is Big, and Magicians are numerous.
Greatest Magicians are in Zagreb, they are well organized, and work relentlessly to entertain us, so the whole country is highly influenced by them. They are so great and know many tricks, for example:
1) They can do Public Money Disappear trick so efficiently that
even their associates knows nothing about.
2) They can speak for hours and if you try to make a sentence of what they are talking about
    you see that sentence disappear.
3) Very popular trick among their local branches is Address Change,
you woke up in the morning and find that the name of your street has been changed, overnight.
That is great, we can replace old boring documents with new ones.
Doing that, we have to walk around for weeks (and walking is good for health)
and actually meet people (so we are not alienated) which we pay by our tax payers money.
That also opens new jobs, not only in Paper branches, Rescue branches are needed too -
to rescue lost postmans and reporters (ah, those poor souls are lost due to 3. while being around researching Mystery of 1.).

We are all Hypnotized by their Greatness:

I'm not exception.
Land Of Magic, I tell you.

Howdy!

I'm glad you bumped this thread - I hadn't read it before.  Your thoughts on 'magicians' are spot-on.

I, with no offence intended to any other nation, would argue that GB has the best magicians in the world.  Not only can they make public money vanish, but private money also.  Better yet: there are some magicians who specialise in making whole binders full of important documents vanish without a trace - for a fee.  In the one case the fee is called 'postage', in the other it is called a 'court application fee'.

i disagree about the UK, the swiss have the best magicians because they get their stock walk into the slaughterhouse on free will LOL.

if you consider one of the most efficient police states with a population believing they have a choice
and consider themselves "free people" that's the non plus ultra of magic IMO

BTW there is an anti dope against the magic, legally avoid paying tax at the highest possible level, not talking tax-fraud here which is why i said legally, unfortunately i can't elaborate further LOL

magnamentis  (a very apt name) -

"BTW there is an anti dope against the magic"

Minor typo there:

BTW there is an anti dope (sic) against the magic.   ;D

I know what you meant, but 'anti dope' is so much better when speaking of politicians of a particular type.

/snip

glad for any help to improve my english skills, sometimes i think i never get there, ...

I notice that the last paragraph of your page The Concept of Validation is in German.  I don't claim to speak German at all well, but I am a linguist.  I hope this helps you:

At this point, I would once again like to recommend reading all the sections and texts of this book, as well as those sections which do not apply to you or which do not seem to be of primary interest to you. It would otherwise have been necessary to write a separate book for each paragraph of each theme. What is meant by this is that many statements are intended to explain a particular value of a subject, are philosophical common knowledge, and are conducive to the general understanding of cosmic processes. Such explanations are occasionally given in the context of the book, and are not repeated every time without any connection. Therefore, a complete reading is in principle essential.

Note: Google translate did the 1st draft which I did my best to render more accurate.

Croatia depresses me. I think that in the future I will either go live there, or never go there at all.
