To cont. with the retreat of Hagen Bræ in Hagen Fjord, North Greenland. I have with the aid of Landsat images, a pretty painful experience and very large files, but I think I got there. My goal is to minimize the tress hold of understanding what a retreat of a glacier really is, and the easiest way in my opinion is by images, as the saying goes An image is worth a thousand words, and less translations problems.
The reasons and explanation for the retreat I will leave with others, to explain.
The 1978 calving front, is based on old aerial images from GEUS, Copenhagen since no satellite images are available. Look further up in thread.
